Ra’s Tarot Course

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Tarot, covering its structure and symbolism, astrological influences, and elemental correspondences. By the end of this course students will be able to confidently read Tarot cards using both traditional interpretations and intuitive insights.

• This Tarot course is suitable for complete beginners
• Small groups: 6 people maximum per course
• Five week course: (June 27th, July 4th, July 11th, July 18th, July 25th)
• Day: Friday evenings
• Time: 6.30-8.00 PM (1 hour 30 minutes)
• Price: £125 for Full Course (£25 per lesson, 5 lessons). Special EARLY BIRD price of £100 (£20 per lesson) for advanced bookings made before June!
• Location: Basic Witch studio, Old Brewery Yard, Falmouth Old High St.

Tarot decks, mats and workshop materials are provided. Advance booking is required. Bookings close 3 days before this event. Guests are welcome to bring a drink with them from our neighbouring bars The Chintz and Underland.

 
Lesson 1: Symbolism the hidden meaning in the image (Friday June 27th)

The aim of this class is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the symbols in Tarot cards (colours, animals, numbers, etc.); how symbolism enhances the meaning of each card. By the end of this class you will be able to recognise the subtle symbolism in each card and understand its meaning

Lesson 2: The Elements in Tarot (Friday July 4th)

The aim of this class is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how Tarot cards are associated  with the four elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, and how these elements influence the energy and interpretation of cards. By the end of this class you will be able to recognise the elemental associations in each suit.

Lesson 3: The story of the tarot (Friday July 11th)

The aim of this class is to give students a detailed exploration of each card in the Major Arcana and a deep dive into the journey of the Fool across the Major Arcana and how each stage of the Fool's journey represents stages of personal growth. By the end of this class you will be able to interpret Major Arcana cards in a reading and use the Fool's Journey as a tool for self-reflection and understanding.

Lesson 4: Developing Intuition in Tarot Reading (Friday July 18th)

The aim of this class is to provide students with techniques that will enhance intuitive reading. Balancing traditional meanings with personal intuition. By the end of this class you will be given skills that will help you to trust and refine intuitive insights during readings. 

Lesson 5: Cleansing, spreads, and aftercare  (Friday July 25th)

The aim of this class is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how to cleanse their cards and themselves before and after a reading. This class will provide information on different Tarot spreads and how to use them. There will be a practical at the end of this class. By the end of this class you will be given skills that will help you cleanse yourself your cards and your space both before and after a reading and you will be able to create and interpret Tarot spreads.

Course Outcome:

By the end of the course, students will

·      Have a solid understanding of Tarot's symbolism, structure and elemental associations.

·      Be able to interpret both Major and Minor Arcana with confidence.

·      Integrate intuitive insights with traditional Tarot meanings in readings.

·      Conduct accurate and insightful Tarot readings for themselves and others.

Our studio is accessed via two small steps and is located on the ground floor. We regret that wheelchair access is not available.

Cancellation Policy:

For courses, cancellations made 7 or more days in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 3 to 7 days in advance will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 3 days of the course. Rescheduling follows the same timeframes as cancellations, and if rescheduling isn’t possible, the cancellation policy will apply.
