Learn the craft of Tarot as it was traditionally taught - intimately, conversationally, and practically, sharing ancient wisdom from one person to another… are you the next person to receive this esoteric knowledge? 

Experience a private, in-person Tarot coaching session with P. J. Wood - AKA Jordi - a Ph.D. researcher, folklorist, cartomancer, astrologer, and Penguin Random House author and illustrator from Cornwall, U.K.

Within just one 2 hour coaching session you’ll tour the Major and Minor Arcana, learning to both comprehend and speak the language of Tarot. You will be able to identify the guidance messages hidden within the cards, using the secret techniques professional tarot readers have mastered in order to memorise individual card meanings. With ongoing practice beyond this coaching session, you’ll soon be proficient in casting cards for yourself and others without reaching for a guidebook, and you’ll be able to confidently lay out and interpret a tarot spread. 

You can book this workshop individually, or as a couple, or as a maximum group of three people.

📚 A Private Coaching Session

• The Coaching Plan: A private, one-off coaching session to learn the basics of Tarot reading. 
• Session Duration: 2 Hours, with a short rest break.
• Your session includes a demonstration tarot reading from your instructor, Jordi 🔮✨🌙
• Capacity: Book for one person, a couple, or a maximum of three people.
• All materials, including tarot decks and cloths, will be provided! Just bring a pen and a notebook if you would like to take notes.
• Refreshments are available from our neighbouring bar The Chintz if you would like a cuppa or a cocktail in your break!
• Location: Basic Witch, Old Brewery Yard, the Old High Street, Falmouth, CornwalL
• Availability: Various time slots available throughout the week

🔮 About this Coaching Session

You’ll learn the ancient art of Tarot reading during a concise and informative 1-2-1, 2 Hour in-person session at our Cornish tarot parlour, structured for complete beginners, with time to practice a short reading yourself during your session. Guided by Jordi — an IPHM-accredited holistic practitioner and Ph.D researcher of cartomancy — this coaching session will awaken your intuition and teach you to read Tarot traditionally… with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.

By the end of this session, you’ll be casting cards and performing a traditional tarot reading using the Rider–Waite Tarot deck. Across three hours you will explore the secret language of the Major and Minor Arcana and how to perform a reading confidently… without relying on a guidebook

With ongoing practice after your coaching session, you should soon be able to deliver nuanced, classical Tarot readings for friends, family, and potentially your own clients too.

🕯️ Traditional learning - for as long as you feel you need!

Learn Tarot the way it has been passed down for centuries — from teacher to student, conversationally, and experientially. Jordi teaches in the same personal tradition through which he himself learned: the sharing of sacred, esoteric knowledge.

After learning the basics of Tarot in the first session, if you wish, you may continue private coaching for as long as you need, with ongoing 45 minute practice sessions for £50 per session, on a pay-as-you-go basis, exploring advanced divination topics such as:

• Advanced card spreads
• Creating your own signature spreads
• Publishing your own decks 
• Establishing your own holistic Tarot practice

❌ Rescheduling, Cancellations, Refunds & Access

• Reschedule your appointment more than 24 hours before your scheduled reading or coaching session: free of charge.
• Cancel your appointment more than 1 week before your scheduled reading or coaching session: receive a 70% refund. The remaining 30% is retained as a cancellation fee.
• Cancellations made within 1 week of the scheduled reading or coaching session are non-refundable.
• Last minute drop-outs for couple/group bookings are non-refundable. 
• Missed appointments (no-shows) are non-refundable.
• Once a workshop is in session, refunds are not available.
• Payments made through Klarna or other third-party payment providers will be refunded in accordance with this policy. Any adjustments to payment schedules, instalments, or repayment terms are handled by the payment provider and may take additional time to process.
• If we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, you will be offered either a full refund or an alternative appointment time.
• Access note: The studio is on the ground floor, accessed via two small steps. Unfortunately, wheelchair access is not available.
