Birth Month

Traditionally, across countless global cultures, each month of the year has corresponded to a number of semi-precious and precious stones. The result of our research into the most universal, cross-cultural correspondences, our birthstone collection honours these traditions.

Our birthstone pendants are hand-crafted to order. Each pendant is sterling silver with a semi-precious gemstone bead, with sterling silver details, a 24 inch sterling silver chain, and a sterling silver moon charm at the clasp. We make each pendant by hand at our studio in Falmouth, Cornwall, and each pendant is shipped in an eco-cotton gift pouch with a gold foil moon detail.

Simply select your birthstone and order your pendant. It takes us around 2 business days to create your pendant before we ship it to you, anywhere in the world. A deeply personal gift for a loved one… or something to treasure and treat yourself.

December: Turquoise

Turquoise, with its vivid sky blue to greenish-blue shades, remains December’s cherished stone. It is valued for promoting balance, protecting journeys and strengthening bonds of friendship.

January: Garnet

A deep red stone long recognised as January’s birthstone, garnet symbolises vitality, commitment and safe travels. It has been treasured for centuries to strengthen the heart and deepen bonds.

February: Amethyst

Amethyst, with its soothing shades of purple, is the classic stone for February. It is known to promote calm and mental clarity, protect against excess and inspire peaceful sleep and spiritual growth.

March: Aquamarine

Aquamarine shows a gentle clear blue, widely embraced today as March’s birthstone in place of older choices like bloodstone. It is linked to clear communication, emotional calm and the ancient hope of safe passage over water.

April: Clear Quartz

Traditionally April is represented by diamond, known for purity and strength. Clear quartz, with its brilliant transparency, serves as a modern alternative, valued for amplifying intentions and bringing mental clarity.

May: Chrysoprase

May has long been tied to emerald, a stone of love and renewal. Chrysoprase, with its lively apple-green colour, is a thoughtful contemporary choice, associated with opening the heart to joy, trust and new beginnings.

June: Mother of Pearl

June’s classic birthstone is pearl, linked to calm wisdom and gentle nurture. Mother of pearl offers a natural, softly iridescent alternative, embodying similar soothing and intuitive qualities.

July: Carnelian

Traditionally July’s stone is ruby, tied to passion and courage. Carnelian, glowing in warm reds and oranges, is a meaningful modern interpretation, chosen to spark creativity, motivation and protect from fear.

August: Peridot

Peridot’s bright olive to lime green makes it the traditional birthstone for August. It is celebrated for uplifting the spirit, guarding against sorrow and encouraging growth and optimism.

September: Lapis Lazuli

While sapphire is the classic stone for September, lapis lazuli, with its deep royal blue flecked with gold, serves as a striking modern option, still resonating with truth, wisdom and authentic expression.

October: Pink Opal

Opal is October’s traditional stone, tied to inspiration and creativity. Pink opal brings a gentle variation, offering calm emotional support and encouraging compassion in a modern, tender form.

November: Citrine

Topaz is classically linked to November, but citrine, with its inviting golden yellow to honey tones, is a widely embraced alternative, known to clear negativity, brighten outlooks and attract prosperity.
